What we've been up to....

I only work 2 mornings/week, but have been to work very little this month. The only part about that-is that the babysitter/preschool still get paid. Between Gavin's surgery, both kids having the flu last week (Sydney much worse than Gavin), and then we had a snow day yeasterday we have not made it to school. Tomorrow ice is expected so not sure if we'll have school again. The kids are using ride on toys and rocking horses to get a little exercise. We went to MOPS this morning at church and I had a cookie exchange. I managed to get mom's candy cane cookies made. We have lots of shopping to do before our family arrives next week. It'll be a busy weekend. Gavin is still showing better attention/play skills since his surgery, which is so nice to see. We still have some extreme terrible two behaviors we're dealing with (I call it terrible two's on crack:) We are hoping these behaviors will also lessen now that he's feeling better.

I love the picture in front of the tree. It is going on my desktop. They are so cute with their play things. I'm sorry they both got the flu. It's no fun.

Say hi to Grandma and Grandpa for me.

Wow, two kids with the flu -- sounds like you had a rough week. Hope you are all done cleaning up vomit for awhile! Glad to hear Gavin's attention and play skills continue -- that's great news!

The two girls love the bouncy zebra too! It's not much fun when one gets ill,let alone two! I hope you all have a fab Christmas.

Shannon,
I feel obligated to correct your statement about "only working 2 days a week". Any parent knows that you have the most stressful and demanding,as well as rewarding job ever! You are blessed with a beautiful family, but we all know things can get "ugly" with a couple of toddlers. My grandsons(22months apart)and daughter have been living with us between military assignments and I can tell you, there is never a dull moment. I am so proud of my daughter and I'm sure your parents feel the same way about you. Have a very Merry Christmas!
