Gavin's surgery...

Gavin had surgery yesterday to remove his adenoids. Everything went well and the procedure was less than 20 minutes. He was not happy when we met him in recovery and took a little while to calm down, but was better once we were on our way home and he was going to get jello and ice cream. The Dr. said he had a complete blockage so he definately couldn't breathe through his nose. We noticed a difference right away when he took a nap- we couldn't hear him breathing on the monitor. We think his voice sounds a little different too. Grandma Pat came to visit last night and everyone, including Cassie wanted her attention. Gavin will have a little swelling for a week or two, but we're anxious to see what a difference this will make for him.

Shannon you can chalk one more experience up in the throws of raising children. Jim had his tonsils out when he was just about 5 but I think he stayed in the hospital for probably at least a day and 1/2. I know I was glad one of our friends who was a nurse was working on the floor he was on.

I love the picture of kids on your header, but I can't get it to copy.
