Home again....

We rounded off our trip going to the Desert Botanical Gardens Friday night (no pictures b/c my battery ran out). They have luminaries and musicians and this year a special glass sculpture display that was really neat. Saturday we went swimming (Aaron went golfing with his friend Red) and then to the Organ Stop Pizza for dinner. Gavin was mesmerized by the organ and didn't say a word the whole time. Gavin's favorite thing to say on this trip was, "Cactus Ouch"...I think we heard it about a million times! Gavin had lots of fun playing with JP, Brenda's son (he is 7). Our flight home was a bit of torture. We were 2 hours early for our 1:30 flight and then the flight got delayed 3 hours......so we spent 5 hours in the airport with 2 little ones.....not fun! I got nervous that I was going to run out of diapers so mom & dad came back up and passed some to the security guard and then after sending them through security they handed them to me. Gavin crashed immediately once we got on the plane and then Sydney. We came home to some snow on the ground. I heard that Grandpa Oscar and Matt had a long trip back from Oklahoma to Illinois as well as Shane and Brenda a long drive back from Phoenix to CA. So we weren't the only ones that had a long day yeasterday:) Sydney turned 10 months the day after T-giving, she is starting to take a few steps while pushing something as seen in the video... There's a picture of Sydney's new shoes that Grandma Ellen got her...I had heard from the Great Aunts that they thought she needed some shoes b/c she's always barefoot in the pictures. She did have shoes, it's just more fun to pull them off. But she seems to be keeping this new pair on pretty well.

I'm glad you had a good time in Phoenix. The kids look like they had fun too. I'm glad Sydney got shoes since there was snow on the ground when you got home. Jim ended up with 5 inches or more. Have fun preparing for Christmas.
